Vickers Harness Tester
Vickness hardness is measured by pressing a pyramid-shaped indenter (with interfacial angle of 136 degrees) into a specimen with a defined test load. After keeping a certain time, unload the test force and measure the indentation diagonal length d, and then calculate the indentation surface area, and finally the average pressure of indentation on the surface area is obtained, namely the Vickers hardness values, denoted as HV.
Vickness hardness tester can be used to measure almost all the metal materials used in industry, from soft materials to hard materials.
